A city protected by UNESCO since 1991 is ready to give you a very nice welcome so that you can enjoy every balcony, every plaza, every street!!!! 

The valley of Rimac was occupied by the Incas, a town well organized with a lot of Incas temples and a very controlled society. Even being a desert this place became very fertile due to the water from a river called Rimac which supplied Incas with different products from the farming. 

Spanish conquistadors came to Peru in 1532 and Lima was founded in 1535 by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro (Spanish) from being an Incas Town It became a very modern city full of colonial buildings, plazas and churches. This city was a very aristocratic city during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries where people from de elite of Spain were aloud to live in only.

In 1821, The General José De San Martín, declared the independence of Peru, the vice royalty was gone and we started to have presidents and a different system of government . Nowadays, Lima is a very interesting city to discover the remains of all this history and for visiting the mysterious churches!!
