Lima City Tour, "City of The Queen and Kings".

Lima is considered one of the richest cities in history, not for its colonial period only but for the pre-Incas cultures as well. This city is protected by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) since 1991. There are very beautiful mansions, palaces, churches, the cathedral, plazas and even the spooky catacombs which are the highlights of Lima. You must not miss it. You have so much to see here. Come along with us and be part of this amazing experience.

Here the itinerary. Check it out.

We are going to pick you up from your accommodation and with our expert local guide we will take you to a fascinating walking tour around the historical center.

The first spot we will visit is “The Plaza San Martin”, an impressive place where you will be explained by your guide about the history of the independence of Peru which took place in 1821. The buildings around it are unique and you will also get the opportunity to see the oldest hotel of Lima “Hotel Bolivar”.

Then we take a pathway that it is named “Union” which means (connection). It links the Plaza San Martin with The Main square. Once in there, you’ll see beautiful palaces and a very old church called “la Merced” with its amazing façade, too.
The next spot is The Plaza Mayor (Main square), the most important plaza in the whole country. Lima was founded in 1535 and was considered the Spanish capital in South America in the colonial period. The place was the perfect location due to 3 reasons: good climate, access to the ocean and its closeness to the river.

After admiring the pretty buildings such as the presidential palace, the cathedral, city hall, and others, we’ll go to our great Saint Francisco Monastery for you to enjoy its great collection of 18th Century paintings, its impressive sculptures, wooden bannisters, trendy gilded mirrors and great original terraces and you won’t miss the impressive underground Catacombs, of course, that is the cherry on the cake!

After the tour we will take you back to your hotel.

Come along with us and get to know about Lima and its rich history itself.
