What can you do in Lima for a day?
Lima downtown is considered a rich city in terms of history as well as culture. Therefore, there are many things to do there. Keep in mind that since 1991 this city is protected by UNESCO for its importance.
Here we present 5 places for you to visit and enjoy Lima downtown in a day.
1- San Francisco Convent Museum: (Jirón Lampa, Cercado de Lima 15001)
It is a very interesting museum to visit, you get to see paintings that date from the colonial period. The highlight is the catacombs which is a big cemetery under this church that are separated by crypts.
2- Santo Domingo Convent Museum: (Jirón Camaná 170, Cercado de Lima, 15001)
One of Lima’s most storied religious sites, the Iglesia de Santo Domingo and its expansive convent are built on land granted to the Dominican Friar Vicente de Valverde, who accompanied Pizarro throughout the conquest and was instrumental in persuading him to execute the captured Inca Atahualpa. Originally completed in the 16th century, this impressive pink church has been rebuilt and remodeled at various points since.
3- The Wall Park: (Jirón Amazonas 130-140, Cercado de Lima 15001)
This is a very nice park where most of the locals go in order to enjoy spending the time with family. For over 200 years Lima was surrounded by a big wall that was a protection against pirates, as Lima was the capital in South America for the conquerors. In this place you can see some remains of this wall.
4- MALI (Lima’s Art Museum): (Parque de la Exposición, Paseo Colon 125, Cercado de Lima)
Known locally as MALI, Lima’s principal fine-art museum is housed in a striking beau-arts building that was renovated in 2015. Subjects span from pre-Columbian to contemporary art, and there’s also guided visits to special exhibits. On Sunday, entry is just S/. 1.
5- Magical Circuit Water : (Jr. Madre de Dios S/N, Cercado de Lima)
Parque de la Reserva is a beautiful park and a nice place to visit during the day, but at night this park becomes truly magical. Once night time comes, their famous fountains light up and make for a truly spectacular sight. The entry fee is 4 Soles and it is well worth it to see these beautiful lights. If you are only spending one day in Lima, the fountains are the ideal choice for you.

Lima is such a beautiful place to explore. Tourists love to visit Lima because of its alluring nature. A few days ago, I went to this place with my wife by taking help and guides from Photo Tours Peru . We visited every place of Lima, which you have described in your blog.
